Hyderabad, Apr 6 (UNI) Acharya N G Ranga Agriculture University Vice Chancellor Raghu Vardhan Reddy today clarified there was no proposal to alienate university land as reported in a section of the media.
Talking to newspersons after the Telugu Desam and Bharatiya Janata Parties staged a dharna, the Vice Chancellor denied any such proposal was under the consideration of the administrative council of the university.
Earlier, the TDP and BJP staged dharna before the University over the issue. They raised slogans against the government and Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.
Telugu Yuvata (TDP's youth wing) State President T Srinivasa Yadav claimed the Chief Minister had promised them there would be no alienation of the land, but reneged on his word.
