Usha, Bhatia to hold selection trials

Kozhikode, Apr 6 (UNI) Former Sprint Queen P T Usha, National Athletic Coach J S Bhatia and Sports Medicine Expert Shiller Jose will select probables for undergoing training at the prestigious Usha School of Athletics (USA) here on April 8.

As many as 30 probables will be shortlisted from the participants in the trials, from Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala, a USA release said today.

Final selection would be made from the shortlisted candidates after giving them a two-week coaching at the school premises in Koilandy, it said.

The school would provide food, accommodation, education, medical treatment and sports kits to the selected athletes during their stay at the school.
