TDP, BJP resort to dharna

Hyderabad, Apr 6: Telugu Desam Party(TDP) and Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) activists today staged a dharna at Acharya N G Ranga Agriculture University (ANGRAU) protesting against what they alleged to be alienation of the university land in favour of private Contractors engaged in road laying.

Mr T Srinivasa Yadav, president of Telugu Yuvata, the youth wing of the TDP alleged that 500 acres of valuable land was being sold off to Contractors by the government.

Mr Yadav said his party take up a state-wide agitation if the Government did not give up its attempt to alienate the University land.
