Smita Thackeray back with ''Kaise Kahe''

Mumbai, Apr 6 (UNI) Film producer Smita Thackeray is back on silver screen after a long hiatus.

Her next production ''Kaise Kahe'' is a modern-day love story that pits romance against career.

The young men and women today are very determined to concentrate on their careers and make their millions as soon as possible. Love may not be part of their immediate agenda but it doesn't come with a warning either, Ms Thackeray, whose maiden film ''Haseena Maan Jayegi'' was a runaway hit a couple of years ago, said while talking to reporters on the sets of her film.

She said the film revolves around what happens when love breaks into the lives of two career-centric people.

Rahul is a young banker with a very bright future. Radhika is a Sahara Samay TV journalist. They fall in love ... deeply in love, but that love is negotiated around the demands of their work.

Their careers remain their priority.

''Can careers survive love? Can love survive career demands?' These are the questions on which the story is weaved.

''Kaise Kahe'' has an intimate look at the modern lifestyles of Rahul (Rajveer) and Radhika (Neha Julka), and the place they accord each other in their demanding career-driven lives.

Smita Thackeray is jointly producing this film with Sahara One Motion Pictures under the banner of Siddesh Productions.

She is introducing as many as four new actors in lead roles.

Besides Rajveer and Neha Julka, the other two actors being launched are Kunal Kumar and Shital Shah. Ms Thackeray is also giving breaks to director Mohit Hussain, screenwriters Prakash Pange and Surindra Bhatia, dialogue writer Smita Kapoor, and cinematographer M Sethuraman.

Director Mohit Hussain is a well-known television name and has directed, among other shows, Zee's ''Kareena Kareena''.

Cinematographer M Sethuraman has been the operative cameraman for veterans like Kabir Lal and Johny Lal for over 30 films.

Co-screenplay writers Prakash Pange and Surindra Bhatia have been journalists and associated with TV and films in various capacities.

Dialogue writer Smita Kapoor has written and directed shows on Zee and Doordarshan.
