Silver, gold reach new peaks on opening session

Mumbai, Apr 6: Values of silver and gold today touched new peaks on bullish global advice during the opening session of trading, traders at the bullion market here said.

Following were the rates: Silver (per kg) .999 fineness grade : Rs 17,545, Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint: : Rs 8,585, Gold 99.9 purity variety : Rs 8,630.
