Rs 60 lakh laddu machine being dismantled

Tirupati, Apr 6 (UNI) The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has decided to dismantle the Rs 60 lakh laddu-making machine, which was lying idle since it was installed at the famous Venkateswara Temple kitchen premises at Tirumala.

The laddu machine, installed in 1997, was the first such in India and was purchased from the London-based M/S Mico-Bosch company. Due to some technical problems, which could not be rectified, it could not be utilised properly, according to a TTD official.

The machine has now been declared a dead asset.
