RJD team to inquire police excesses on women

Patna, Apr 6 (UNI) A six-member RJD team rushed to Majhwalian village of Rohtas district to inquire about the alleged misbehaviour of STF jawans against local women.

The STF jawans were stationed in the area for combing operation following killing of DSP Akhileshwar Prasad by Maoists.

RJD's Principal general secretary Ram Kripal Yadav said here that the fact finding team had been sent by the party leadership.

He said the team would meet the villagers to ascertain the fact.

The committee had been constituted under the leadership of state party president Abdul Bari Siddiqui.

Apart from Mr Yadav other members of the committee are Union Minister Kanti Singh, Nagendra Singh (MLC), Lal Das Rai (MLC) and Bijendra Yadav (MLA).
