Naxals abduct 8 tribal students
Jagdalpur(CG), Apr 6 (UNI) Eight tribal students were abducted allegedly by naxalites in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh yesterday, police said today.
They were among about 60 people, who were returning to their Dodra village in Konta police station area after fishing at nearby Barguda village.
After detaining them for two hours, the naxalites allowed all but eight students to return home. The abducted students were taken to the forest, Superintendent of Police Pravir Das said, adding that police team had been sent to the spot.
In another incident, surrendered Sangham member Muchaki Bhima was killed by the naxalites last night. The former naxalite sympathiser from Tekmatla village near Usur had earlier surrendered before the police.
