Kashmir issue will be resolved soon: Mirwaiz

Lahore, Apr 6 (UNI) Chief of the All Party Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has expressed optimism that the ongoing peace talks will aid the resolution of the vexed Kashmir issue While addressing a press conference here yesterday, he said,'' The ongoing process of negotiations will bear fruit.'' The Mirwaiz also met Pakistan Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi at the Civil Secretariat and discussed the ongoing efforts aimed at resolving the Kashmir issue.

Mr Elahi said peaceful solution of Kashmir issue has gained tremendous importance for a durable peace in the region. He said President Pervez Musharraf is taking bold steps in this regard.
