Israel's Olmert hopes to form government quickly

JERUSALEM, Apr 6 (Reuters) Israeli interim Prime Minister Ehud Olmert accepted President Moshe Katsav's nomination today to form Israel's next government and said he hoped to put together a coalition soon.

''I hope to form a government, which will have the broadest possible support, as quickly as possible,'' Olmert, whose centrist Kadmina party won the most seats in Israel's election last week, said at a televised ceremony with Katsav.
