ING VysyaLife signs up cooperatives for life insurance business

Bangalore, Apr 6 (UNI) Taking a lead in the insurance sector, ING Vysya Life has signed up with 44 cooperative banks across the country for promoting life insurance.

These banks were in Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal.

Large tie-ups also exist with the Nainital Bank in Uttaranchal and Abhudaya Bank in Mumbai, ING Vysya said in a release here today.

The 44 banks have a combined customer base of ten million with more than 900 branches, the release said.

The tie-ups comprised of a scheduled commercial bank, 32 urban cooperatives and 11 district cooperatives.

Apart from the cooperative banks, ING Vysya Life had bancassurance tie-ups with ING Vysya Bank and Bharat Overseas Bank.
