Govt auditor held for bribery
Hyderabad, Apr 6 (UNI) The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today arrested a senior auditor belonging to the District Audit Office in Vizianagaram for taking bribe.
An ACB release here said Laveti Sangam Naidu demanded Rs 2,500 from a retired Secondary Grade Teacher who had reportedly been paid excess salary from 1984 till her retirement.
T Padmavathy had asked Naidu to ignore the error while auditing the payments made to her.
In another case, C N S Raju, a health supervisor at the Government Ruia Hospital in Tirupati, was arrested for taking Rs 2,000 as bribe for doing an official favour to a complainant.
