Genus Overseas bags Rs 117.65 cr order from WBSEB

New Delhi, Apr 6 (UNI) Genus Overseas Electronics Ltd, one of the largest producers of single phase multifunction electronic energy meters, has bagged an order of Rs 117.65 crore from the West Bengal State Electricity Board (WBSEB) for Argi Metering.

This is the biggest ever order to be announced by any State Electricity Board for a metering project in recent times.

The order is for metering of tube-wells in fields in different districts of West Bengal. The meters will be three-phase and the reading will be through Low Power Radio equipment (LPR), which is part of Automatic Meter Reading project developed by the company through its in-house research and development.

The meters will be supplied over six months.
