Gang of auto-lifters busted, four held

Barabanki, Apr 6 (UNI) The police in this district of Uttar Pradesh has claimed to have busted an inter-state racket of auto-lifters with the arrest of four persons and recovery of two vehciles from them.

Police said here today that following a tip off Mohd Sajid, Mohd Majid, Mohd Vaish Ahmad and Sanjay Kumar Yadav, all hailing from UP were arrested from the Jaidpur area here late last night and two vehicles were also recovered from them.

On interrogation later, the arrested quartet admitted of lifting the two vehicles from Allahabad and Madhya Pradesh for selling them in Nepal.

The arrested also admitted of lifting vehicles in the past from other states and selling them later in Nepal, police added.
