Forgery case lodged against Raj Babbar
Agra, Apr 6 (UNI) A forgery case has been lodged against film star and expelled Samajwadi Party MP Raj Babbar and his kin in connection with purchase of plots in Sikandara area here.
The case was lodged at Sikandara police station yesterday by additional housing commissioner D P Singh against Mr Babbar, his mother Shobharani, wife Nadira, son Arya, daughter Juhi and brother Kishan Babbar.
As per the FIR, Raj Babbar had bought five plots measuring 2230 sq yards each last year from a soceity. These plots were allegedly registered and were fraudulently transferred in the names of the actor's kin.
Mr Babbar also charged with cheating the government in the payment of stamp duty.
Meanwhile, Mr Babbar denied the charges and claimed it be a political conspiracy against him. ''I have been targetted because of my unrelenting tirade against SP,'' he said.
