Farmer shot dead in Champaran

Bagha, Apr 6 (UNI) Unidentified criminals shot dead a farmer at Naurangia village under Laukaria police station area of West Champaran district today.

Police said the assailants tried to kidnap Jawahar Shah when he was irrigating his fielde. But they got frightened when Mr Shah raised an alarm. The criminals then sprayed bullets on him killing him on the spot.

The victim was a resident of Bhartapur village in the same police station area.

Raids were on to nab the killers, police added.
