Dr Kalam arrives on a two-day visit to Karnataka

Bangalore, Apr 6 (UNI) President A P J Abdul Kalam arrived here tonight by a special air craft.

Karnataka Governor T N Chaturvedi, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, and top officials received Dr Kalam at the airport.

After a overnight stay at Raj Bhavan, Dr Kalam will participate in the 99th birthday celebrations of Sree Sree Sivakumara Swamiji of Sree Siddaganga Math at Tumkur on April 7.

Dr Kalam will fly to Madikeri in the afternoon and participate in the Birth Centenuary celebration of late General K S Thimayya.

The President will fly back to Bangalore and inaugurate 'Students Legal Literacy Club' and the golden jubilee celebrations of the Karnataka High Court before leaving for New Delhi at night.
