New Delhi, Apr 6 (UNI) Ashok Kumar carded a superb six-under 64 today to nudge to one stroke behind leader Digvijay Singh at the DDA Open tourney being played at the par-70 Qutab Golf Course here.

Digvijay played a modest three-under 67 card thus aggregating 17-under 193 to stay at the top of the heap.

Bangalore's C Muniyappa shot a 66 for the third position and a tally of 198 while defending champion Mukesh Kumar floundered on the putting greens to return a card of one-over 71 to tie fourth at 199 with S Madhaiah (Bangalore) and Dinesh Kumar (Delhi).

Digvijay had a decent front nine with birdies on the third and fifth. On his way back Digvijay birdied the 12th and 15th holes and with sole bogey on the 14th as only blemish.
