Bids for global television rights to open tomorrow
Mumbai, Apr 5 (UNI) The tenders for the global TV rights of matches featuring Indias matches on neutral grounds were scrutinised today here.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had called for the tenders and they were scrutinised today, board secretary Niranjan Shah told UNI here today.
Mr Shah further said the bids would be opened tomorrow in Delhi and the winner would be announced later in the day.
Mr Shah however refused to give details on how many bids were found to be eligible for the global rights.
Earlier, the BCCI had awarded the television and the ground rights, which includes in-stadia ads and title sponsorship to Percept D'Mark for the two ODI's between India and Pakistan to be played at Abu Dhabi on April 18 and 19.
Percept's subsidiary PDM Gulf had won the television rights with a bid of 3.61 million dollars while they bagged the ground rights for 3.61 million dollars which works out to Rs 16 crore.
