Arrest warrant against Bhaichung

Kolkata, Apr 6 (UNI) A Howrah court today issued arrest warrant against Indian football captain Bhaichung Bhutia.

First Judicial Magistrate Shadhan Kumar Mondal issued the order against Bhaichung for failing to appear in the court for a case in 2003.

Mr Mondal asked the Salt Lake police to implement the order.

The incident happened when Bhaichung's luggage was stolen at Shalimar station while he was returning after playing a tournament in South India and the alleged thief was arrested.

A case was lodged in the court. Subsequently the court issued summon to Bhaichung, but the latter failed to abide by the court order.
