APCC flays TDP leader on comments
Hyderabad, Apr 6 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) today strong objection to Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Senior Leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy reportedly terming Congress leaders and the state administration as fraud.
During their two-term tenure, the TDP resorted to all types of illegal activities and was visualising the Congress Government in a similar manner, a press note issued by APCC Official Spokesperson N Tulasi Reddy said.
''Dr Reddy who was ''known for diverting the rice meant for 'Food-for-work' scheme to his benefit was now giving baseless statements against Congress leaders,'' he said.
He further stated TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu was shedding crocodile tears on weakers sections' welfare. During the TDP rule in 2003-04, Rs 2,131 crore was spent on welfare of weakers sections.
Now, Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy's Government had spent Rs 2,666 crore during 2005-06 and earmarked Rs 3,620 crore for 2006-07, he added.
