Yatras a 'crusade' against UPA's manifold failures: BJP

New Delhi, Apr 5 (UNI) Reflecting the party's strong opposition to the UPA's ''policy of Minorityism,'' BJP stalwarts LK Advani and Rajnath Singh will undertake twin ''Bharat Suraksha Yatras,'' from Rajkot and Bhubaneshwar respectively to highlight ''the Manmohan Singh government's failure on all fronts.'' The yatras, starting tomorrow on the occasion of Ram Navmi and also the founding day of the BJP, will cover 17 states in 35 days and culminate at Delhi on May 10, the anniversary of the beginning of the 'First War of Independence' in 1857.

The Yatras are aimed at taking a five-fold message to the people, cautioning them about yhreats to national security in view of increasing incidents of terrorism and extremism, national unity being jeopardised by the politics of minoritism, corruption in high places, threat to Parliamentary democracy from institutional misuse and revival of authoritarianism and also to highlight the massive price rise, unemployment and debts due to faulty economic policy threatening the economic security of the commonman.

The BJP said the major 'trigger' for the yatra came from the ''divisive politics of minoritism the Congress-led UPA government has been pursuing, during its less than two years in power to consolidate the minority vote-bank''.
