World Peace cycle expedition reaches Sultanpur

Sultanpur, Apr 5 (UNI) A nationwide world peace cycling expedition carried out by a team of theatre artists from Gorakhpur today reached Sultanpur after covering 85,000 km spread across 19 states and union territories.

The leader of the team and theatre artist of Bharat Natya Manch, Gorakhpur, Captain Ranjit Bachchan told UNI here that the expedition that teed off from Gorakhpur on February four, 2002, during its course of journey, staged 310 street plays to enlighten people against social evils.

The expedition till now has covered 19 states and union territories including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Punjab, Chandigarh, Uttaranchal and Jammu and Kashmir.
