Wadekar pays tributes to Narayanan
Bhopal, Apr 5 (UNI) Former Indian captain Ajit Wadekar today lauded eminent commentator late Jai Prakash Narayanan's contribution to the radio commentary.
''Narayanan was a fine player. After earning his engineering degree, he received foreign offers but chose to serve his country instead,'' he said here while addressing a programme for renaming the Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd sports complex after Narayanan who was also BHEL's general manager.
Cricket commentator Susheel Doshi said international hockey player Shankar Lakshman was ailing and short of finances.
Narayanan passed away last October.
