Visva Bharati finance officer removed from office

Santiniketan, Apr 5 (UNI) Visva Bharati today removed its finance officer Swapan Kumar Ganguly on diciplinarian ground, official sources said.

The action was taken following submission of one-man commission Justice Anandamoy Bhattacharya's report yesterday.

The commission was set up in 2004 to probe into the conduct of Mr Ganguly, who was appointed in 2002 for five years' contact.

The executive council of the institution in a meeting yesterday decided to remove Mr Ganguly with immediate effect.
