Sonia occupies no office to profit: Congress
New Delhi, April 5 (UNI) The Congress Party today said President Sonia Gandhi did not occupy any office of profit.
Asked about the report she had resigned from the post of Chairperson of the prestigious Amritsar-based Jallianwala Bagh Trust yesterday, Party Spokesperson Jayanthi Natarajan said she was not aware of this.
"However, Ms Gandhi is or was not holding any position coming within the ambit of office of profit," she asserted.
The post of National Advisory Council Chairperson was also not an office of profit, but she resigned when she was targeted and hounded by the Opposition BJP and others in Parliament.
