Sonia arrives in Asom for second leg of campaigning tomorrow

Guwahati, Apr 5 (UNI) Star campaigners of the Congress are heading for Asom for a high profile electioneering for the second phase Assembly election to 61 seats on April 10.

Party chief Sonia Gandhi was in the state for the first phase and would return for the second phase tomorrow.

Ms Gandhi, who had been the star campaigner for the party allover the country, is scheduled to address three election rallies tomorrow - one each in Nagaon, Mangaldoi and Dhubri.

While Ms Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh were the major campaigners for the Congress in the previous phase, the party was roping in a host of other campaigners for the final phase.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Rajashekhar Reddy and young Parliamentarian Sachin Pilot are already in the state. More campaigners are expected to visit the state before the curtain on electioneering draws for April 10 polling.
