SBI operations standstill in Arunachal Pradesh

Itanagar, Apr 5: The nationwide indefinite strike by the employees of the State Bank of India (SBI) has severely affected banking services in this remote bordering state of Arunachal Pradesh.

All the 42 branches in the state have been participating in the agitational programme that began on Monday demading hike in the ceiling of pension and the amount of family pension fund.

According to Assistant General Secretary of SBI Staff Association of NE Circle, P K Baishya that all members of Staff association and Officer's association have been on agitation.

Meanwhile, the Confederation of Service Associations of Arunachal Pradesh (CoSAAP) has supported the strike called by Indian Bank's Association.
