Santos restarts Mutineer-Exeter oil field after cyclone
SYDNEY, Apr 5 (Reuters) Australian oil and gas producer Santos Ltd. said today it had restarted production at its Mutineer-Exeter oil field off the coast of Western Australia, after a shut-down because of a cyclone.
Production at the 40,000 barrel-per-day field in the Indian Ocean was suspended last week as the sixth cyclone of the season approached.
At its height, tropical cyclone Glenda was a category-five cyclone with winds around 125 kph, the Bureau of Meteorology said.
Santos is currently monitoring a new tropical low off Australia's north-west, which the Bureau of Meteorology said may become a cyclone.
