SAIL's Bokaro plant achieves record production

Bokaro, Apr 05: Bokaro steel plant under Steel Authority of India has achieved record production in all mojor products during the financial year 2005-06.

Executive Director of the company D.P.Sharma said here today that hot metal production of the plant has reached 4.7 million tonnes while crude steel production surpassed 4 millon tonnes mark.

Concast steel, hot rolled coil and saleable steel also registered growth of 120, 3.9 and 6 per cent respectively, he said.

The plant also earned a profit of Rs 1,575 crore in the first three months of 2006, he added.
