Rajnath seeks clarification from PM on Indo-US nuclear deal
Bhubaneswar, Apr 5 (UNI) BJP president Rajnath Singh today demanded a clarification from Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the details of the legislation on the Indo-US nuclear deal moved in the US Congress.
Mr Singh, who arrived here from New Delhi to commence his Bharat Surakshya yatra from tomorrow, told mediapersons that the Prime Minister had not informed Parliament about the details of the bill placed in the US Congress.
''Many of the facts and provisions in the bill were not revealed to Parliament,'' the BJP President said, demanding that the Prime Minister should give a clarification as to why there had been an attempt to hide certain facts.'' The claimed the Indo-US nuclear deal would ultimately lead to security crisis for the country.
Mr Singh said his Bharat Surakshya yatra was aimed at awakening the mass about the failure of the UPA government on all fronts. Ever since the UPA government has assumed power, the country has been pushed into a security crisis on several fronts,'' he said.
