Prisoner succumbs to AIDS

Hubli, Apr 5 (UNI) A 30-year-old convict, lodged in the Dharwad Sub-jail, has succumbed to AIDS at the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) here.

Srinivas Guram was shifted to KIMS on March 30 last after he tested positive for the disease.

Guram, convicted for committing dacoity in Dharwad, Uttar Kannada and Belgaum, died at the hospital yesterday.
