Nehru to contest as independent

Pondicherry, Apr 5 (UNI) Mr Nehru who was replaced by the AIADMK for the Orleanpet constituency with Actor Anandaraj, will now contest as an independent for the same seat.

Mr Nehru took the decision after holding consultations with his supporters this evening.

The change in candidature caused considerable heartburn among Mr Nehru's supporters who created trouble when AIADMK General Secretary arrived here to campaign for her party recently.
