Militants attack VDC member

Jammu, Apr 5 (UNI) Suspected militants attacked two persons including a Village Defence Committee (VDC) member at Pattian in Udhampur district last night. Police sources said today. They said militants hurled two hand grenades on the house of Sudegfh Singh, a VDC member and one Mohammad Rashil.

One grenade exploded in the open space while the other did not explode. Militants also fired shots towards the VDC member's house, who retaliated but the militants fled away.
