Manavjit Sandhu misses bronze by a whisker

New Delhi, Apr 5 (UNI) Manavjit Sandhu missed a podium finish by just a single point and the Indian had to settle for a fourth place in Trap event at ISSF World Cup in Qingyuanin, China today.

Sandhu shot an impressive 143+4 (122+21) with a series of 24,24,25,24, 25.

Fellow Anwer Sultan finished 24th with a score of 118 (22,23,24,25,24) while Birendeep Sodhi finished 41st with a score of 114 (25,22,22,20,25).

The gold in this event was won by Massimo Fabbrize of Italy with a world record score of 147 (124+23), the silver went to Manuel Silva (145) of Portugal with points while American Michael Herman (143+5)pipped Sandhu to bag the bronze.
