Independent files nomination for Budhni

Bhopal, Apr 5 (UNI) Independent candidate Kalicharan today filed his nomination papers and became the third nominee to do so for the crucial Budhni bypoll where voting is scheduled for April 24, official sources said.

The Bharatiya Janata Party candidate is Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan while Mr Guljar Singh Markam is the Gondwana Ganatantra Party nominee.

The main opposition Congress candidate is former minister Rajkumar Patel who will submit his papers on April 7, which is the last day for the exercise. Scruting would take place the following day and nominations may be withdrawn until April 10.

Counting would take place on April 27.
