HMT's high-tech engine emission testing lab at Pinjore
Mumbai, Apr 5 (UNI) For better performance of its tractor engines, HMT has established a Rs 5 crore high-tech engine emission testing laboratory in the R&D Centre of its Tractor Division at Pinjore.
The Laboratory is first of its kind in the Northern Region.
The engines would comply to current Transport Emission III (TREM-III) and take care of TREM-IV norms that are likely to be implemented by the tractor industry in 2008, the company informed the BSE today.
HMT laboratory is equipped with testing equipments sourced from AVL, a renowned engine testing company from Austria, which would measure pollutants like carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, oxides of nitrogen and carbon dioxide, particulates, visible smoke and look into fuel consumption.
