Gulbarga records 40.4 degree celsius

Bangalore, Apr 5: Following is a summary of observations recorded by the meterological office at 0830 hours today.

The Rainfall occurred at isolated places over South Interior Karnataka and dry weather prevailed over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. Maximum temperatures changed little over the State. They were above normal at many places over Coastal Karnataka and remained normal over Interior Karnataka.

Gulbarga recorded highest maximum temperature of 40.4 degree celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Friday morning : Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at isolated places over South Interior Karnataka and mainly dry weather may prevail over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers forecast : Light to moderate likely to occur at isolated places over Bangalore Rural, Bangalore Urban, Chamarajanagar, Mandya, Mysore, Tumkur and Kolar districts of South Interior Karnataka and mainly dry weather may prevail over all districts of Coastal Karnataka, North Interior Karnataka and remaining districts of South Interior Karnataka.

Forecast for Bangalore city 2006: Partly cloudy. Maximum temperature would be around 34 degree celsius.
