Guinea's Conte sacks PM after reshuffle gaffe
CONAKRY, Apr 5 (Reuters) Guinea's ailing President Lansana Conte dismissed Prime Minister Cellou Dalein Diallo on Wednesday only hours after cancelling a decree handing him greater powers, amid a power struggle within the cabinet.
A presidential decree read on state radio announced that Diallo had been sacked for ''serious wrongdoing'', after state media broadcast an announcement giving him broader powers apparently without the authorisation of a cabinet rival.
