Governor, chief Minister greet people on Ramnavami
Jammu, Apr 5 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Governor Lieutenant Genaral S K Sinha and Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has felicitated people on the eve of Ramnavami.
In a message the Governor said, ''In his human form, Lord Rama showed in a glorious manner how to uphold Putra Dharma and Rajya Dharma. As Maryada Purushotam, a perfect and ideal human, Lord Rama set a personal example of all round conduct with high ethics and lofty ideals that are relevant for all times to come particularly now when society is afflicted with hatred, greed, intolerance and dwindling moral values'.
General Sinha said Lord Rama epitomised righteousness and the spirit of sacrifice. He hoped that his message of love, truth and social justice would guide humanity till eternity.
Mr Azad said that greed and materialism led astray human beings breeding unrest, confusion and imbalance in our day to day life.
This day inspires us to shun all forms of greed and give meaning to our life by creating a society free from all evils suppression and high handedness, full of love and peace.
He also hope that the auspicious day would bring prosperity to the entire country and be harbinger of peace and development for Jammu and Kashmir.
