Ghani Khan's condition serious
Kolkata, Apr 5 (UNI) Veteran Congress leader and former Union Minister A B A Ghani Khan Choudhury, admitted to a city nursing home on April 3 following abdominal pain, was serious.
The nursing home sources said, ''Mr Khan Choudhury's condition continues to be serious.'' Two doctors, including a gastroentrologist, from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, examined the 79-year-old MP this morning, they said.
The former Railways Minister has been diagnosed with having stones in the kidneys and gall bladder.
The heavyweight political leader of Malda district was flown in here on Monday by an Air Force helicopter after he fell ill at his residence.
Meanwhile, several dignitaries visited the ailing leader at the nursing home in south Kolkata.
