Gandhians to converge at Dandi tomorrow
Surat, Apr 5 (UNI) A group of Gandhians will converge at Dandi tomorrow to commemorate the 76th anniversary of the historic Dandi March.
Vipinbhai Desai, one of the organisers of the get-together, told UNI the Gandhians will assemble under the mango tree beneath which Mahatma Gandhi had rested during the ''satyagraha''.
The Gandhians will recall memories of the ''Salt Satyagraha'' and have their lunch together, Mr Desai said.
Mahatma Gandhi had started his march from Sabarmati to reach Dandi where he made salt, defying the British rule.
