Four arrested in laddu racket at Tirumala

Tirumala, Apr 5 (UNI) Four people, including an employee of the Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) were arrested on the charge of selling laddus in blackmarket here today.

Police said Venkatanarayana Reddy, an electrician of the TTD was arrested while he was selling the laddus to pilgrims waiting at the Vaikunta queue complex. About 250 laddus and Rs 1250 in cash was seized from him.

Based on his statement, police arrested three others working in the Andhra Bank counter, where laddu tokens are issued to the pilgrims in Tirumala.
