Fire in godown destroys cotton

Ahmedabad, Apr 5 (UNI) A fire broke out today in a godown of a textiles company near Rakhial area of the city.

Cotton bales stored in gunny bags and packing materials worth around Rs two lakh were gutted in the blaze, Additional Chief Fire Officer M F Dastur told UNI here. No one was injured.

He said three fire tenders and eleven water tankers were used to douse the fire in the Soma Textiles godown.
