Filing of nomination for third phase WB Assy poll begins

Kolkata, Apr 5 (UNI) Filing of nominations for the third phase of the five-phase West Bengal Assembly election to 57 seats on April 27 began with a total of 115 nominations filed on the opening day today.

Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Debashish Sen here said of them 38 nominations were filed in Kolkata alone, while the rest were in two districts of North and South 24 Parganas.

The last day of filing papers for the third phase poll is April 12.

Kolkata and neighbouring North and South 24 Parganas would go to the third phase polls.
