Encyclopaedia on Lord Hanuman to be unveiled
Lucknow, Apr 5: A tome comprising an impressive collection of 500 rare photographs of Lord Hanuman will be unveiled in the Uttar Pradesh capital on Saturday.
The tome titled 'Samagra Hanumat Darshan' (Visual Encyclopaedia of Lord Hanuman) has been compiled by a city-based publisher Sunil Gomber.
Talking to media here today, he informed that photographs of Lord Hanuman have been sourced from several channels including museums and temples.
''Apart from India, several of the photographs pertain to ancient temples in Cambodia, Indonesia and Mauritius,'' he added.
The 248-page bi-lingual (English and Hindi) book has been published on matte finish and is being touted as a 'collector's item'.
''The tome details the story of Lord Hanuman and his eternal legend,'' Mr Gomber said adding, it took him almost two years to collect the rare images for complilation.
Meanwhile, a quarterly magazine titled 'Hanumat Kripa Sandesh' devoted to the monkey god will also be unveiled during the function.
''It would be only the fourth magazine in the world exclusively on Lord Hanuman,'' he claimed.
