New Delhi, Apr 5 (UNI) Accusing the Congress of planning a conspiracy to uproot traders from the capital, the Delhi BJP today announced that it will start a 'satyagraha' from tomorrow against the sealing and demolition drive of the MCD.

Senior BJP leader L K Advani, before embarking on the Bharat Suraksha Yatra', also wrote to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to intervene and provide succor to the traders whose livelihood has been affected by the MCD drive.

Addressing a joint press conference Delhi BJP incharge V K Malhotra and Pradesh President Harsh Vardhan said 'dual'' character of the Congress must be exposed.

The party will also launch a 'Jail Bharo Movement' to protest against the MCD.

Mr Malhotra said the BJP will not allow the commercial character of Delhi to be ruined and make all possible sacrifices in the interest of the traders.

He said Mr Harsh Vardhan will launch the agitation at Bhajanpura Chowk Main Wazirabad Road tomorrow.

'Despite the fact that a solution --an ordinance-- is available to the Congress it is doing nothing to save the shops and livelihood of the traders,'' Mr Harsh Vardhan said.

He said the intentions of the Congress are not good hence it was delaying issuing the ordinance.

He claimed that on one hand Urban Development Minister Jaipal Reddy was denying that an ordinance was issued and on the other hand Congress MPs and Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit were assuring traders that their shops will not be sealed.

''The Congress leaders are shedding crocodile tears and giving false assurances to the traders... The Congress government has not done anything concrete to help the people whose shops are either being demolished or sealed,'' he added.

Mr Malhotra said the Centre and the Delhi government are fully responsible for the present ''bad'' condition of Delhi.

He said the Government can also issue an Amnesty Bill to save the business of hundreds and thousands of people The press conference was also attended by Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Jadish Mukhi and Leader of Opposition in MCD Subhash Arya.
