CCL earns profit of Rs 1105.05 crores

Ranchi, Apr 5 (UNI) Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) has made the highest ever coal production in its history producing 40.51 million tonnes of raw coal during 2005-06 against the target of 40.40 million tonnes and 37.389 million tonnes during the previous year.

CCL Chairman-cum-Managing Director R P Ritolia told newsmen here today that the achievement was 1000.3 per cent of the target and an absolute increase of 3.12 million tonnes over last year. The company has registered a growth of 8.3 per cent over 2004-05.

It has earned a profit of Rs.1105 crores during 2005-06 compared to the budget of Rs.1099 crores and Rs.437.81 crores during 2004-05, which was an improvement of Rs.5.7 crores over budget and Rs.667.24 crores over last year, he said.

Due to the highest ever profit, the company net worth rose from the level of Rs.896.37 crores during 2004-05 to Rs.1293.07 crores during 2005.06 which was more than the paid up capital of Rs.9400.00 crores, he said.
