CBI arrests doctors in exam case

Chennai, Apr 5 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today arrested two more doctors in connection with the case relating to alleged malpractice in the entrance examination for admission to MD/MS and post-graduate diploma courses conducted by the AIIMS.

The CBI arrested doctors Duraimurugan and Christopher and produced them before a Special Court trying CBI cases.

Mr R Dakshnamoorthy, CBI Special Judge, before whom the doctors were produced, remanded them in judicial custody till April 13.

After the expiry of six days police custody, the CBI also produced four other doctors, who were arrested earlier, before the judge, who remanded them in judicial custody till April 13.

Eleven persons including seven doctors had been arrested so far in connection with the case.
