Army hold ex-servicemen rally at Udhampur

Jammu, Apr 5 (UNI) An Ex-servicemen rally was conducted today at Udhampur under the aegis of Head Quarter 71 Sub Area of Northern Command.

A large number of ex-servicemen from Udhampur and Ramnagar tehsils attended the rally.

Addressing the ex-servicemen, Brig K K Chopra, Commander 71 Sub Area extended a warm welcome to them and deeply appreciated the efforts made by them to attend the event.

He said the Army authorities are always ready to assist ex-servicemen and their families in getting their dues and leading a comfortable life.

He apprised the gathering that an Ex-Servicemen (ESM) helpline has been established at the Station HQ Udhampur to provide assistance and guidance to the ex-servicemen in dealing with their problems and they should make use of the facility whenever needed.

He also said any ex-servicemen having a problem can meet him or his staff at any time and whatever action is possible will be taken to resolve it same.

This was followed by an interaction with ex-servicemen during which problems projected by them were addressed by the concerned officers of 71 Sub Area, Zila Sainik Welfare Office and Director Resettlement (North Zone).
